WDG specializes in the design and construction of offices and clinics for the dental, medical, and veterinary professions. With over 20 years of combined experience, WDG offers a practical turn-key approach to design, space planning, construction, and development.

Commercial Design, Development, and Construction Project - Edward Jones
WDG recently completed design and construction services for a new Edward Jones Financial Services office in Houston, Texas. WDG provided design services, completed construction documents, managed construction and installed equipment for this 1,200 square foot build-out. The project was completed in March 2009 in only 30 days. Edward Jones is located at 17131 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77082.

WDG Meets Aggressive Design & Permits Schedule for Kingwood Oncology Clinic
WDG recently completed pre-construction services for Houston Physicians Medical Association in Kingwood, Texas.
WDG provided design services and completed construction documents including the procurement of permits for this 10,000 square foot build-out. When completed the facility will house a cancer clinic and a family practice. The project was started in June 2009 and completed in 35 days.

In addition, WDG obtained and delivered construction permits in only 35 days—easily meeting the customer's aggressive schedule.WDG’s design included separate air handling equipment for each specialty within the clinic, preventing hypersensitive oncology patients from exposure to the everyday germs of family practice patients.WDG incorporated firewalls into the building plan that eliminated the need for a new sprinkler system—saving Houston Physicians Medical Association money and accelerating the project schedule.
Veterinary Design, Development, and Construction Project - Bingle Veterinary Clinic
WDG recently broke ground on its latest veterinary clinic construction project in Houston, Texas. Bingle Veterinary Clinic is a family owned and operated vet clinic located at 2025 Bingle Road in Houston, Texas. WDG is providing design services, producing construction documents and procuring permits in addition to the ground-up construction management for this 5,000 square foot building. The project was started in August 2009 and will be completed in March 2010.
ChallengeCreate a state of the art veterinary clinic and pet boarding facility.Construct new clinic directly behind occupied clinic without disrupting existing operations, so that continuity of patient care is not interrupted.SolutionWDG's design incorporated the client's existing stainless steel cages and newer equipment, providing amenities that reduce noise transmission and treat patients with the utmost care in a comfortable, cleaner atmosphere.To prevent client disruption and downtime, WDG procured off-site storage and parking for construction workers adjacent to the site. Some of the actual work was done off-site. Other activities that demand a lot of space (such as pouring concrete) was scheduled outside of the client's normal operating hours.

Dental Design, Development, and Construction Project - Northwest Houston Orthodontic Group
WDG recently completed its latest dental office construction project for Northwest Houston Orthodontic Group in Spring, Texas, on Northwest Houston Orthodontic Group, 2211 Rayford Road, in Spring, Texas. WDG provided design and construction management services for the build-out of this 3,200 square foot office that featured three custom bubble walls, an arcade, a circular treatment bay, and efficient patient flow. The project was started in August 2008 and was completed on time and within budget despite a city-wide loss of power due to Hurricane Ike.

About Jonathan Greene, Associate AIA
Prior to starting WDG, Inc., Jonathan directed MREC’s Project Management and Design departments. His no-nonsense, hands-on approach stems from this prior experience designing and developing medical and commercial projects from the conceptual phases to their completion. Having played the roles of both general contractor and developer, Jonathan brings a great deal of expertise to all levels of the process: from doctors/clients, to owners, city officials, inspectors, general contractors, vendors, and sub-contractors. In addition to his superior organizational skills and work ethic, Jonathan has a thorough understanding of the creative process needed to produce work that is as artistic as it is functional and budget-compliant. Jonathan has successfully completed projects across the country.
Jonathan graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Design and Development, and he has over 10 years of design experience, ranging from producing custom homes to large retail and office parks. Jonathan is a recipient of the AIA Michael G. Meyers discovery scholarship award with the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston, he is an active associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and has earned second place in the statewide “Can”struction competition to benefit the Houston Food Bank.
Previously Jonathan also served as the senior project designer for Infinity Texas, a prominent developer in The Woodlands, designing, managing, and building many award-winning commercial projects in the Greater Houston Area. Jonathan has served on many boards as an architecture and construction consultant in the Houston area, and he has been a member of the National Association of Industrial Technology and the National Association of Home Builders. Jonathan currently serves as the president of his alma maters fraternal organization’s housing corporation in Huntsville, Texas.
In his free time, Jonathan judges for the Bravos Valley Students Association and pre-qualifying cook-offs for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He also volunteers for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and he is a big fan of the Houston Astros, when they are good!
About Jay Ramsey, TRCC Certified
Prior to co-founding WDG, Inc., Jay Ramsey had been a project manager and designer for a commercial firm located in Spring, Texas. Jay brings to the table not only an understanding of the design process, but also a complete understanding of the construction process as it relates to client demands, sub-contractors, budget, timeline, and perfection. With over 10 years of design/construction experience, Jay has the ability to quickly deliver detailed construction documents and roll straight into the construction process seamlessly. Jay has successfully completed projects across the country.
Jay’s design and construction career began way back in high school, where he started to create custom home plans for local builders. That led to his graduating Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a major in Design and Development and a minor in management. While in college, Jay was involved with the National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT) and the National Association of Home Builders, among others. As part of NAIT, Jay participated in the annual judging for the Brazos Valley Technology Student Association competitions. Additionally, he assisted project managers and campus construction inspectors with multi-million dollar construction and renovation projects for Sam Houston State. Professionally, Jay is a registered builder with the TRCC and has been deeply involved in the residential construction and design industry. Most recently, Jay directed the design department for Partners in Building, the largest builder of custom, luxury homes in the Houston area. There, he facilitated the design, engineering, and estimating for 250 custom homes per year.
Away from the office, Jay loves to spend time with family and friends, writing music, playing guitar, and fishing.
